New Agency: Yulunga Arts - October 3, 2005
I've just signed up with a new booking agent, Mike Wolke and Yulunga Arts. Actually, Mike is an old agent. He used to book The Mollys at the height of our touring days. And he always did a fine job for us. He's leaving his job with SRO Artists to start his own business. I'll be touring with my husband, Danny Krieger on guitar and slide guitar, Steve Grams on upright bass, and sometimes, schedules permitting, fiddler, Darcie Deaville. We're going to debut our road show at an official showcase at The North American Folk Alliance Conference in Austin, TX, Feb. 10 - 14 and plan to start regular touring in the late spring and summer of 2005.
Lullabies for New Beginnings - October 1, 2005
I've been working with Tucson singers and songwriters to produce a lullaby CD. We're recording the final songs this week and starting to mix them. All the procedes for this project are being donated to New Beginnings for Women and Children, a nonprofit organization helping homeless women and their children become self-sufficient. It's a great charity and it's turning into a wonderful record, with tracks by Lisa Otey, Claire Zucker of Round the House,
Heather Hardy, Wendy Adams, my old Mollys partner, Catherine Zavala and lots more. For more info on the project check out
www.nbwctucson.org
We're planning a children's concert for Dec. 11, 05 at Greenfire to celebrate the CD's release.

Many thanks to DJs who play music from small Indie lables. Support your community and public radio stations. They're keeping musical culture alive and offering an alternative to market driven promotion for the lowest common denominator.
Spring 2005 - March 24, 2005
The Old Mollys, as we're now called, Catherine Zavala, Gary Mackender, Kevin Schramm, Dan Sorenson and I, had a blast on St Patrick's Day at The Boondocks. We're hoping to make it an annual affair, so if you missed the show, plan on seeing us next year.
Now I'm gearing up for a trip to the midwest. I'll be doing the acoustic singer/songwriter thing with my husband, Danny Krieger, who'll be accompanying me on guitar and vocals. We're taking our daughter, Emily along. So it will be a tour/family vacation. We've got to get the kid road worthy. Our first stop is Platteville, Wisconson, then we'll head over to St. Paul, Minnesota, and finally down to St. Peter to visit all the old Mollys' friends who used to see us at The Blue Moon in Kasota, Minnesota.
The Mollys line-up from 1995-2000 Reunite for St. Paddy's Day - January 20, 2005
On Thursday, March 17th, we're doing a St. Paddy's bash with the original Mollys: Catherine Zavala, Kevin Schramm, Gary Mackender, Dan Sorenson and herself. (that'd be me) We're all excited to be playing together. It will be 15 years to the day since Catherine and I played our first Mollys' gig at Cushing Street Bar. We've decided to do the show at The Boondocks because they have a large dance floor and we're hoping the old Mollys' fans will come out and WELT THE FLOOR.
The Last Call Girls: It's never too late to get lucky - January 15, 2005
The Last Call Girls is my country, honky-tonk band. We got together after Lisa (McCallion) and I played for our nephew's wedding. We didn't reherse at all; we just called out the songs and the keys and started playing. We found ourselves doing a lot of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. The audience was family, of course, so they loved it. And so did we. The current line-up is Lisa on bass and vocals, Kevin Schramm (Mr. BIG accordion), who also plays some guitar and dobro, Tom Rhodes, a fine fiddler and guitarist, Michael Joyal on drums, and myself, singing, playing guitar, and occasionally some whistle (on those Irish/bluegrass numbers). Lisa has a big, beautiful, alto voice, and we have a blast singing together. We've starting playing at a place called Brats, west of town, by old Tucson. It's got a nice dance floor and a clientele that knows how to two-step. We also play The Frog and Firkin and The Boondocks. Check out our website at
www.thelastcallgirls.com to see where we're playing and learn more about the band.
